The Mahila Aashram situated at Muwani near Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand (India) is the place of actual worship the mankind. This Ashram was established by great freedom fighter (Late) Sri Sher Singh Karki Ji on the day of Gandhi jayanti on the 2nd Oct 1960 for the women living in difficult circumstances and are evicted from their houses. More then hundred women have resettled their lives while staying in this Ashram. More over thousands of women are inspired from the Ashram.
The Society is registered under the 12A and 80-G of Income Tax Act-1961. The FCRA (foreign contribution regulatory Act and 35 A C Regn. is also done.
Under the guidance of Mr. Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Governor of Maharashtra the school “Sher Singh Karki Saraswati Vihar affiliated to CBSE Board” is also started and so many other development works are also initiated.
It is really appreciable that the CBSE affiliated school “ Sher singh Karki Saraswati Vihar” was the dream project of Late Shri Sher Singh Karki and it is running successfully in the territory of Mahila Aashram Muwani.
